The Jimblebar Project forms part of BHP Billiton Iron Ore’s expansion of its iron ore assets in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
The scope involved the establishment of the Warrawandu Village Central Facilities 25km east of Newman including the design and construction of the kitchen and dry mess, wet mess and beer garden and an administration and recreation building.
The project was based on a modularised design and construction process and work elements comprising of precast concrete walls and modular roof system. Our modular design maximised safety through increased off site fabrication, substantially decreasing any potential working at height risks.
